The marriage of man and machine is a sci-fi trope as old as the genre. Cybernetic enhancements, however, are making the jump from fiction to reality faster than we think. With medical devices from bionic legs to artificial vision getting smarter every day, it's only a matter of time until we begin picking and choosing the enhancements that we want. And when that day comes, I am getting a flame-throwing mechanical arm.
