MxD (Manufacturing x Digital) has announced the launch of Cyber Playbook: Ensuring Cybersecurity in Additive Manufacturing. The playbook is the second in the company’s cyber series and is designed to help address unique considerations for Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) when utilizing additive manufacturing. The organization, which helps U.S. factories understand and implement digital tools, cybersecurity, and workforce strategies, claims that the playbook will help manufacturers incorporate cybersecurity requirements into their product design and documentation.
In a recent quote, Matt Taylor, Vice President of Projects and Engineering at MxD, said, “As the leading industry targeted, ensuring strong cybersecurity measures in manufacturing is crucial. This playbook provides a comprehensive framework for identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities and is a significant resource for companies who work with the DoD looking to deploy additive manufacturing devices.”
