Proper lighting is an essential but sometimes overlooked component of any DIY project. If you can't see what you're doing, your cuts won't be straight, your measurements won't be accurate, and your whole project might just fall apart. While shop lights come in many unique shapes and sizes, if you want a truly custom lamp, you need to make it yourself. YouTuber Colin Furze had the awesome (and foolhardy) idea to create a gas-powered lamp using the motor from an old chainsaw. Pro: It will work even if the electricity is out. Con: It sounds and smells like a chainsaw.
