Datastick Vibration Basics Training Seminar

The first two days cover the fundamentals of mechanical vibration, best practices in collecting and reporting vibration data and how to use the data in predictive and reliability-based maintenance. In the optional third day, attendees learn to operate a specific vibration analyzer — the Datastick VSA Vibration Spectrum Analyzer. A small sample of topics covered in the seminar include: the physics of vibration made simple; the causes of vibration in rotating machinery; why it's important to look at both waveforms and spectra in vibration analysis, and what to look for; how to place sensors to get accurate, repeatable measurements; strategies for collecting data; and examples of common machine faults and their resolution.
