Teacher of the year finalist explains his views on STEM education

Rob Stephenson may let the kids loose in the classroom, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t motivated to do some incredible work. Stephenson, a National Teacher of the Year Finalist, is excited about the possibilities that children’s minds hold for the future of STEM. As he explains more thoroughly in the video, he attempts to let kids “fail” and then succeed in ways he will never understand. With this new and different way of teaching, Stephenson is attempting to let kids do the figuring out when it comes to science and STEM, instead of him standing in front of them trying to teach them everything.
