STEM statistics: The sad truth

June 25, 2014

This video shows the sad realities of how unprepared high school students are for college courses in STEM fields.

The numbers cannot be denied: students in high school need desperate help when it comes to their knowledge of STEM. One statistic in the video shows that while only 4 percent of the population currently holds a job in a STEM field, those 4 percent create the other 96 percent of jobs. With that amount of pressure on the STEM workers, it is no wonder the United States needs a refreshment of a new generation to take over and bring new ideas to the fields of STEM.
