How to teach STEM right: Why teachers shouldn’t breeze through science courses

When Alexa and Bryan got into the STEM teaching field, they realized that they may not know as much as they should to teach young students interested in STEM. In response to their desire for more knowledge to better teach and fully prepare their STEM students for careers in those fields, they decided to go back to school at Bradley University. Robin Tandeski, a kindergarten teacher, really emphasized the importance of understanding the STEM field and what you are teaching.

“If you have the background and the knowledge, it’s a lot easier to teach it and to make it fun for your children,” Tandeski said in the video.
