Shockingly, girls may not be as estranged to STEM careers as it originally was thought. As the infographic shows, girls indeed do have a desire to get a job in a field of STEM. What the lingering problem continues to be is intimidation by the opposite sex. In the infographic, some girls believe that in order to impress their male counterparts in the workplace, they would have to work even harder. The question remains: How do we make girls more confident in their skills in STEM?
