Georgia’s STEM Day 2013 highlighted the intelligence of Benefield Elementary School and GSMST’s students as they worked together to teach each other some basic STEM skills. The outcome: everyone was impressed with how smart and intelligent the students were.
“I learned that sometimes we underestimate the intelligence of 4th graders. ...I thought I was going to have to be explaining a lot of [the science behind my project] to them,” Braxton from GSMST said. But he was pleasantly surprised when many of the elementary students were knowledgeable on the subjects that he was talking about.
