Using portable spot air conditioners in industrial applications: Cooling people, processes and equipment

Overview:

Even if an industrial facility has an efficient central air conditioning system, excessive heat can build up in localized areas, lowering employee productivity and even causing OSHA violations.

Even if an industrial facility has an efficient central air conditioning system, excessive heat can build up in localized areas, lowering employee productivity and even causing OSHA violations. In addition, when products exiting a hot process don’t cool off quickly enough, product quality and cycle times can suffer, reducing output. Localized high temperatures can also affect the performance of equipment and shorten its working life. Traditional solutions such as electric fans or evaporative coolers have serious drawbacks, but portable spot air conditioners, also called spot coolers, offer a cost-effective alternative.
