Emerson’s Electrical Reliability Services expands its battery testing, maintenance and replacement services
Emerson Network Power announces expanded battery services delivered by its Electrical Reliability Services business. Electrical Reliability Services has been providing battery services to customers, but has now expanded its capabilities to offer a more comprehensive battery management solution designed to protect utility or industrial customers’ emergency power systems. These expanded services include capacity and load testing, battery charger maintenance, battery replacement, and regular preventive maintenance programs.
To deliver these expanded services, the Electrical Reliability Services team has built a Mobile DC Power Services unit. This battery testing station serves as a temporary backup power source when working with a wide range of battery testing and replacement requirements. Housing configurable, stackable, and color-coded battery units, this station accommodates multiple strings and voltages to meet customer needs.
In addition to continuous operation, customers who take advantage of Electrical Reliability Services’ expanded capabilities will also see increased battery life and backup time; maximum system reliability; improved compliance with the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and/or the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC); and reduced overall maintenance costs.
