Norgren's Prospector poppet valves can operate in extreme temperatures, as low as -40 °C (-40 °F) or as high as 60 °C (140 °F). The Prospector low temperature poppet valve is certified to meet rail industry requirements for extreme temperatures, shock and vibration. It is built to stand up to harsh environments found in metal forging, pressing, stamping and roll-forming. It is also well suited for machine tools and conveyor systems in pulp and paper operations and food and beverage processing. Machine designers and plant engineers using Prospector valves can select between air pilot or solenoid pilot in a range of voltages. The expanded Prospecter poppet line has offerings in a variety of functions with flows from Cv 1.2 up to 49.5.
