Aerodyne's High-Tech Vacu-Valve is equipped with a replaceable silicone duck bill sleeve
Aerodyne, a division of Abanaki, announces its High Temperature Vacu-Valve. This trickle valve system is engineered to be a low-maintenance dust collector valve. The High Temperature Vacu-Valve is equipped with a replaceable silicone duck bill sleeve that can operate in temperatures of up to 500° F. The Vacu-Valve is available in two designs, the open construction of the Platypus and the closed construction of the Armadillo. The replaceable sleeves are chemical and caustic resistant ,as well as abrasive resistant. It is available in both carbon steel and stainless steel.
These trickle valve systems operate as constant discharge valves for dust collectors, hoppers, cyclones and other equipment operating under negative pressure. Their duck bill designs allow for dispensing dry free-flowing material continuously and, unlike rotary valves, have no moving parts to maintain. The Vacu-Valve requires no lubrication, controls, or power supply; whereas rotary valves require a power driven motor.
