General Tools and Instruments' 12:1 Wide Range Infrared Thermometer measures surface temperatures from a safe distance
Featuring a measurement range of -40° to 1076° F (-40° to 580° C), General Tools and Instruments' 12:1 Wide Range Infrared Thermometer (IRT657) is designed for testing and troubleshooting HVACR systems and components. The point-and-shoot, gun-style infrared thermometer is built to measure surface temperatures from a safe distance. The IRT657 has a 1.6-inch backlit LCD and is powered by a single 9-Volt battery. The instrument features accuracy of ±3° F (2° C) above 32° F (0° C) and ±5° F (3° C) below 32° F (0° C), and a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio. The IRT657 is built to have a response time of 250 milliseconds, fixed emissivity of 0.95, and a front-panel °F/°C selection switch.
