Swagelok adds tube facing tools and cutting tool to its equipment product line
Swagelok has added five tools, four tube facing tools and one cutting tool, to the company’s equipment product line. The tube facing tools produce flat, smooth, square, burr-free, and chamfer-free tube ends. Available in four different sizes, the tools feature coated tool bits with two cutting edges, built-in electronic speed regulation and a collet system that requires no tools to change sizes. The tools include:
- TF16 – For preparation of thin-walled tubing from 1/8 to 1 inches (3 to 25 millimeters) OD. Available in both electric and cordless versions.
- TF24 – For preparation of thin-walled tubing from 1/8 to 1 1/2 inches (3 to 38 millimeters) OD. Available in both electric and cordless versions, including a 90-degree-angle option.
- TF40 – For preparation of thin-walled tubing from 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches (6 to 63 millimeters) OD. Also available in both electric and cordless versions, including an angled version.
- TF72 – For preparation of thin-walled tubing from 1/2 to 4 1/2 inches (12 to 114.3 millimeters) OD. Available in an electric version.
Swagelok has also added a cutting tool, the TC72, for cutting thin-walled tubing and elbows up to 4 1/2 inches (114.3 millimeters). With an integrated laser pointer to determine the cutoff point and integrated clamping jaws constructed from aluminum-cast, the TC72 is designed for tube preparation with square and burr-free ends.
