Inpro/Seal's second-generation Current Diverter Ring protects bearings from stray shaft currents
Inpro/Seal's second-generation Current Diverter Ring (CDR) is designed to offer protection from stray shaft currents. Inpro/Seal’s CDR uses proprietary conductive filaments to protect bearings from stray shaft currents generated by variable frequency drives. The CDR provides a low impedance path to ground, drawing the currents away from the bearings in an effort to prevent premature bearing failure. The single-piece design is engineered to be more durable.
