Knauf's Earthwool 1000º Pipe Insulation with ASJ+ resists piping system heat loss or gain
Knauf Insulation North America has launched Earthwool 1000º Pipe Insulation with ASJ+. Earthwool 1000° Pipe Insulation is manufactured from sand, 40% post-consumer recycled glass and ECOSE Technology. The ECOSE binder is based on renewable, bio-based materials and contains no phenol, formaldehyde, acrylics or artificial colors.
ASJ+ is composed of aluminum foil reinforced with a glass scrim bonded to a kraft paper interleaving with an outer film layer, leaving no paper exposed. It is designed to resist wrinkling, dimpling and mold growth. Because ASJ+ is engineered to be more resistant to UV and moisture than traditional ASJ, it is less susceptible to physical degradation and discoloration.
Earthwool 1000º Pipe Insulation is engineered to resist piping system heat loss or gain, and features a service temperature range up to 1000º F. To ensure consistent thermal performance, Knauf Insulation’s mandrel wound forming technology is designed to control product density, eliminate voids and provide inside/outside diameter concentricity.
