AERCO's BMS II multi-unit boiler management system helps users maximize fuel savings
AERCO introduces the Boiler Management System II (BMS II) to maximize fuel savings in multi-unit installations of the company’s condensing and fully-modulating boilers. Expanded to support AERCO’s Modulex line of boilers, the controller delivers the advantages of AERCO’s existing BMS in a smaller, less expensive package.
The BMS II can coordinate the operation of up to 32 AERCO Benchmark, KC1000 or Modulex boilers. In sizes ranging from 300,000 to 3 million BTU/hr., all of these condensing boilers feature high turndown — up to 23:1, depending on unit. By controlling multiple units with the BMS II, building owners maximize the turndown and operating efficiency of the overall boiler plant.
The BMS II is fully compatible with Building Automation Software (BAS) or Energy Management Software (EMS) programs via Modbus protocol. AERCO also offers a plug-n-play communications gateway to support integration with N2 and BACnet systems.
The rugged controller is designed for easy installation with low voltage, twisted pair, shielded wire between the panel and boilers. Fault alarm contacts, automatic system start, two interlock circuits and the ability to start an auxiliary piece of equipment — at both start and 100% load — combine all critical functions of the boiler plant into one reliable control center.
The BMS II features enhanced, user-friendly menu programming and a vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) which is brighter than a conventional liquid crystal display (LCD).
