Snap-on Industrial expands its line of heavy-duty striking wrenches and one-inch Drive Flank Drive impact sockets
Snap-on Industrial has introduced expanded lines of heavy-duty striking wrenches and one-inch Drive Flank Drive impact sockets. Snap-on Industrial’s heavy-duty design for striking wrenches extends from 13/16 inch to 4-5/8 inches and features the company’s Flank Drive design for maximum torque. Snap-on Industrial heavy-duty striking wrenches incorporate a dense, rectangular beam that maintains rigidity and transfers more power to the fastener. With a 12-point box design and a more compact head than other wrenches, Snap-on Industrial heavy-duty striking wrenches reach fasteners in restricted access spaces.
The size offering for Snap-on Industrial one-inch Drive Flank Drive impact sockets has also expanded. Additions to the SAE Shallow 6 Point offering extend the range from ¾ inch to 5-¾ inches; additions to the SAE Deep 6 Point sockets extend the range offered from 7/8 inch to 5-¾ inches. A complete offering of Shallow 6 Point metric impact sockets extends from 27 millimeters to 75 millimeters.
Snap-on Flank Drive striking wrenches and one-inch impact sockets benefit from a wrenching system that delivers up to 20% more turning power without slipping or rounding versus conventional hex designs. The Snap-on wrenching system incorporates a machined radius in each corner of the tool, moving the contact point away from the corner of the fastener and promoting flat-to-flat surface contact for added turning power.
Service life is extended for Snap-on Industrial striking wrenches and impact sockets thanks to a proprietary blend of alloy steel. With a lower heat treat hardness, these impact sockets are built to withstand the repeated cycling loads of pneumatic and electric impact wrenches.
Snap-on Industrial Flank Drive striking wrenches and impact sockets exceed ANSI performance standards; Snap-on Flank Drive combination wrenches meet or exceed ANSI/ASME StandardB107, 100-2002 and Aerospace Standard AS954E 3.8.1.
