General Tools' Refrigerant Leak Detector features a microprocessor-controlled gas sensor with an intake pump

General Tools & Instruments introduces a cordless Refrigerant Leak Detector (RLD382P) for appliance repair, maintenance technicians, automotive services and the HVAC/R industry. This lightweight, hand-held instrument is designed for maintaining any air-conditioning or cooling system utilizing a compressor and refrigerant. The portable unit features an onboard intake pump to more efficiently pull gasses through its microprocessor controlled sensor. This sensor employs advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP), which is sensitive to the full variety of halogenated refrigerants. The Refrigerant Leak Detector also includes an automatic ambient reset function and high/low leak sensitivity selector, and it features an audible alert along with a multi-color visual display to indicate leak sensitivity.
