Leister's Mono compact blower and frequency converter increase power and efficiency
Leister Process Technologies introduces the high-pressure Mono compact blower, used as an air supply for its air heaters, and the FC 550 frequency converter, used to increase power and efficiency for its Robust, Silence and ASO blowers.
Measuring 10.2 inches long with a 3.8-inch diameter, the Mono compact blower supplies up to 32 cubic feet of air per minute and generates a static pressure of 0.72 pounds/square inch. The Mono compact blower can be operated at an ambient temperature of up to 140°F and offers excess temperature protection. With a brushless motor, the system is maintenance free and suitable for continuous operation. The blower can be mounted on the supplied mounting bracket but can be dismantled for tight spaces.
When using the FC 550 frequency converter, a blower can operate with a higher frequency than a power grid, increasing performance by 60%. The FC 550 saves on energy costs by restricting the blower to a lower frequency and by maintaining minimal air volume. With the FC 550, air volume can be adjusted with one of four preset frequencies, or by remote control. This frequency converter comes ready to use and is configured to prevent thermal or mechanical damage. The FC 550 is an electrical unit that is connected to a single-phase main voltage on the input side and generates a three-phase signal with variable frequency on the output side.
