Panduit and ECT International combine to offer software for control panel builders

Panduit joins forces with ECT International to offer panel builders significant reductions in control panel design and development time. With millions of parts to select from, the time required to design and properly document projects can be extensive and costly. By automating control panel projects from schematic to completion with promise software, panel builders are able to reduce design and documentation time by up to 60%. The promise software includes an extensive library of components from leading manufacturers that comprise a control panel solution. Panel builders have the ability to automatically generate BOMs, purchase order lists, job costing lists, terminal block plans, from-to wire lists and field wire lists with a single tool.

In addition to helpful links for complete product specifications and part drawings for Panduit components, panel builders will benefit from customized Panduit features in the promise software. Automatic assignment intelligently calculates wire fill, duct size, quantity of adhesive mounts, appropriate sizing for abrasion protection and recommends cable ties based on bundle diameter. The wizard tool reads schematics and wire routing information and, based on user preferences, automatically assigns terminal and power connector part numbers to the ends of the wires. Direct export for wire and device labels to Panduit EASY-MARK Labeling Software eliminates manual entry of wire and device tags to further reduce costs.

The integration of world-class Panduit control panel solution components into promise delivers significant design advantages. Panel builders rely on Panduit comprehensive control panel solutions for reliability, design flexibility and lowest cost of ownership.
