Daisy Data Displays releases all-weather computer

Daisy Data Displays is rolling out a new all-weather computer designed to withstand even the harshest environments.

The computer is built inside of a cast-aluminum enclosure and coated with a UV-tolerant paint finish. Daisy says it's certified for Class I, Zone 2 hazardous environment use, and operate at extreme temperatures.

“To survive your rig floor, ship, or truck mounted applications it has been engineered to withstand high shock and vibration,” Daisy says.

The PC is driven by a low-power Intel Pentium M 1.8 GHz processor, and includes a flash IDE drive and extensive list of I/O ports. The casing also houses a 15” transflective display with an anti-glare, shatterproof window. Daisy says the computer also includes a 14-key customizable keypad.
