Robert Allen was named launch manager at Chrysler Group’s Belvidere Assembly Plant in January 2011. In this position, he is responsible for the launch of the Dodge Dart, the first vehicle resulting from the alliance between Fiat and Chrysler. As part of the launch, Allen established and implemented the Work Place Integration process (Control Room), where every operation in every work station was reviewed, best practices evaluated and processes verified before a single vehicle was built. Allen joined Chrysler Corporation in 1988 as a mechanical engineer and has held various manufacturing positions in Canada, Argentina, Venezuela, and the United States.
