Sinclair Community College awarded $21K grant from Duke Energy to train industrial maintenance techs

Sinclair Community College has been awarded a $21,000 grant from Duke Energy to train industrial maintenance technicians for companies in Warren County and Butler counties

The training program will provide online and hands-on training for students looking to enter the high-demand field, according to Sinclair.

Both Butler and Warren counties are expected to have a 19 percent increase in industrial maintenance jobs by 2026. But, there currently are not enough workers or trainees to fill those anticipated jobs, according to Sinclair.
