On a tour of Organic Technologies, there was hardly a stop where Davonta Hough, 13, of Coshocton, didn’t ask what a piece of equipment was or note how he thought something worked.

Encouraging that type of critical thinking and inquisitive nature were key elements to a manufacturing camp for middle school students held last week in Coshocton. The purpose of the camp was to show teens that manufacturing jobs just don’t mean menial labor and that there are plenty of job opportunities for them in Coshocton when they become adults
