The passage of tax reform would represent a key victory for a Trump administration and potentially allow the president to kill two birds with one stone: lower tax rates for corporations and businesses while making life easier for American manufacturing companies.

A survey published last month by the National Association of Manufacturers polled executives at more than 500 U.S. goods-production outfits and found that 65 percent of respondents believed comprehensive tax reform would allow them to increase capital investments into new equipment and facilities.
