Eli Lilly to expand manufacturing in Indianapolis

Eli Lilly and Co. is planning to beef up its manufacturing operations in Indianapolis.

The company this morning announced it will spend $85 million in the city to expand its assembly of an injection device for the diabetes drug dulaglutide. The investment is part of $850 million that the company plans to spend across its U.S. operations this year to expand research laboratories, manufacturing facilities and offices.
