Senate IoT legislation makes manufacturers a partner in innovation policy

Four Senators on Tuesday rolled out a bipartisan bill that, if passed, would form an Internet of Things working group at the Department of Commerce. The group would be tasked with giving Congress recommendations on how best to encourage Internet of Things growth.

Federal agencies including the FCC, the FTC, the OSTP, and NIST would be represented on the group.
