How HP hopes its new 3D printer will change manufacturing

HP unveiled its first 3-D printer on Tuesday, saying it's 10 times faster and half the cost of the competition.

The 3-D printing sector is a $500 billion industry, but HP is looking at the bigger picture, going after the $12 trillion manufacturing industry. "We think this is the cusp of the next Industrial Revolution," HP chief Dion Weisler told CNBC Tuesday.
