Schneider Electric Software announced its Wonderware InTouch human machine interface software has won a 2015 UX Design award.
The award honors outstanding design and user orientation in products, digital solutions and services, part of an annual competition managed by the International Design Center of Berlin and presented at the IFA Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin the week of September 7.
The award criteria is based on the user experience and takes a comprehensive view of how users interact with the nominated products and services, including the emotional, cognitive, aesthetic and ergonomic aspects and context of use, user integration, serviceability, design quality and degree of innovation.
According to the jurists’ decision, “Wonderware InTouch HMI software provides high clarity and fault tolerance to improve the user experience and increase efficiency in industrial production processes. A clear and intuitive design aims at unambiguousness and an intuitive grasp of information. The UX Design thus helps to reduce operator fatigue, as well as failure rates and efficiency gaps.”
