U.S. factories slow in March, but economists see rebound

U.S. manufacturers stumbled to close out the first quarter amid a tough winter and the rising dollar, but economists believe the sector will rebound during the spring along with the broader economy.

The Institute for Supply Management on Wednesday said its purchasing managers index fell for the fifth consecutive month in March, to 51.5 from 52.9 in February.
