Indiana manufacturing strong in 2015, expected to slow in 2016

Hoosier manufacturers had a good year in 2015, but international economic forces are projected to cause a slowdown in the coming year for all manufacturers except automakers.

Economic experts said manufacturers, which play a huge role in Indiana's economy, will face a tougher international market in 2016. Although companies aren’t likely to lay off people en masse — most tightened their belts during the Great Recession — some could see a reduction in their workforces.
