As demand grows, Midwestern colleges prep students to fly drones

The scope of commercial applications for unmanned aircraft systems - including pipeline patrol and environmental monitoring - has broadened dramatically in recent years, and universities especially in the Midwest are responding to industry demand for skilled UAS operators. 

Kansas State University - Salina, Purdue University, and Lewis University in Illinois all offer UAS operation programs that incorporate studies of aerodynamics and robotics.
