As was the case last year, and as many analysts predicted, Congress acted just in the nick of time to extend tax provisions, bringing tidings of fiscal cheer. The bill, unveiled after weeks of negotiation, is expected to provide about $650 billion in total tax relief.
Manufacturing and distribution companies were particularly excited for Congress to arrive with tax extenders this holiday season, and their holiday haul did not disappoint. Among the top extenders: a five-year renewal of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit.
