AutoCrib acquires storage assets from Lauyans & Company

Sep 08, 2014

AutoCrib, Inc. has acquired the Small Parts Storage System (SPSS) technology assets and products from Lauyans & Company, an engineering and manufacturing company providing conveyor systems, storage systems and permanent magnet solutions. This strategic acquisition will enable AutoCrib to integrate Lauyans’ vertical storage solutions into its own product suite and support the company’s growth into the direct materials segment of the manufacturing industry.

Under the agreement, AutoCrib will procure all solutions and technology of Lauyans’ SPSS, a vertical lift module technology. These solutions will help round out AutoCrib’s current offerings, which deliver automated inventory vending support to customers including manufacturing companies, airlines, military, retailers, distributors and others who want to provide 24/7 access to inventory—while maintaining complete control and 100 percent inventory accuracy.

Details of the acquisition were finalized today and terms take effect immediately. Lauyans will maintain operation of its three other product categories: Engineered Product Solutions, Overhead Conveyor Solutions and Permanent Magnet Solutions.
