The STO conference is a network of shutdown and maintenance professionals, thought-leaders, and experts who are serious about helping the community improve on the efficiency and effectiveness of their shutdowns, turnarounds and outages (STOs). STO 2012 (www.stoconference.com) is taking place June 18-20, 2012, at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, Texas.

The STO conference is a network of shutdown and maintenance professionals, thought-leaders, and experts who are serious about helping the community improve on the efficiency and effectiveness of their shutdowns, turnarounds and outages (STOs).

“You’ve spent months planning your production outage to engage in one of the most complex, often hazardous projects ever scheduled, and failure is not an option,” said E.J. (Ted) Lister, STO navigator professional, Navigators Inc., and presenter at STO 2012. “If you are serious about reducing risk and increasing efficiency, then you should seriously consider bringing your STO team to this conference.”

Ted will be the moderator for one of two interactive, deep-dive sessions at this year’s conference. New to the program this year, these sessions at the end of day two will help attendees structure a personalized action plan to take back to the office and affect real change within their organizations.

  • STO Strategic Planning Phase — Go for Launch, Expert: E.J. (Ted) Lister, STO Navigators Inc.
  • STO Work Execution Phase — Turning Theory into Execution, Expert: John McLay, P. Eng., JMC Consulting Ltd.

In addition to these special sessions, STO 2012 features two days of session presentations and real-world case studies in five tracks of content, hands-on subject-specific workshops, exhibits and solution showcases by select technology and service providers, unparalleled networking opportunities, and powerful keynote presentations by some of the top STO and maintenance experts in the world: PacifiCorp, a Clearstream Energy Services Company, Project Assurance, Inc., and Vesta Partners.
