Training programs for technicians using the PEARL Reconditioning Standards

The 14th Electrical Safety, Reliability and Sustainability Conference and Exhibition will be offering two identical one-day training programs for technicians using the PEARL Reconditioning Standards. Training will be held at the NECA/IBEW Local 48 Electrical Training Center in Portland, Oregon. Technicians may elect to attend on Sunday, May 15 or Monday, May 16. Training will be conducted by experts from Boltswitch and Oregon Breakers, Inc. The morning portion of training will focus on issues relevant to Low-Voltage Disconnect Switches, Manual Trip Power Fused. The afternoon portion of training will include hands-on training and reconditioning of bolted pressure switches and other panel mount style switches, as well as low voltage and medium voltage fuses. Training will emphasis the importance of following industry best-practices as captured in the PEARL Reconditioning Standards.

Participants that successfully complete the training will receive four Continuing Education Units (CEU), issued by the State of Oregon, that can be applied towards state requirements for an electrical license. Other states my recognize these credits, however it is a state-by-state issue so please consult individual state regulations outside of Oregon as needed.
