Tata Steel has become the latest organization to gain corporate membership of EEMUA.

Tata Steel is a global steel manufacturing and service company, with operations and businesses across five continents. The initial scope of EEMUA membership covers the two UK sites at Llanwern and Port Talbot, which form part of Tata Steel (formerly Corus) Strip Products UK hub.

EEMUA Executive Director, Clive Tayler, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Tata Steel into membership of EEMUA. We are an organization that connects engineering equipment users across a variety of industry sectors and we particularly welcome this involvement from the steel sector into our professional network; it will enhance the pool of shared expertise and learning within EEMUA Member companies, for the benefit of all concerned.”

Dave Bright, Manager, Engineering Technology Group at Tata Steel, commented: “As one of the top steel companies in the world, we are continually looking to develop and improve our systems, our processes and our people. Joining an organization such as EEMUA will give us great opportunities to learn from other leading engineering organizations and I’m sure we’ll be able to share some of our own expertise as well.”
