Compressed Air and Gas Institute offers online learning and technical service center

May 10, 2010

The Compressed Air and Gas Institute, which provides manufacturer and product-neutral support to compressed air professionals, has introduced a new online learning and technical support center that provides training, resources and technical information for professionals in the compressed air industry.

A key function of SmartSite is the innovative E-learning courseware that provides training and background information for compressed air systems 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Participants can login and access the latest information regarding air compressors, blowers, pneumatic tools, and air and gas drying and filtration equipment, advancing at their own pace from their work or home computer.

“Employees are most often a company’s most important resource, and organizations that provide support and education for their employees quickly realize the benefits that come with this investment,” said John H. Addington, CAGI Promotional Subcommittee Chair. “Utilizing SmartSite and all of CAGI’s resources is a cost-effective way to empower employees while taking advantage of our industry’s leading source for technical information and data.”

Training and education offered at SmartSite is suitable for professionals of all levels and experience. For example, Introduction to Compressed Air Systems is a seven-module online course that begins with the basics and progresses through types of compressors, capacity controls, distribution systems, controlling wastes, air treatment, air compressor installation and air system maintenance.
