The Industrial Leaders Group has launched MFGmatch.net, a custom manufacturing marketplace to promote job shops, foundries and other contract and custom manufacturers at http://www.mfgmatch.net. The Web site was created in response to a serious need for small and medium-sized job shops with limited marketing budgets to compete with larger manufacturers with a more dominate online presence. MFGmatch.net will provide machine shops and contract manufacturers the opportunity to connect with engineers, plant managers, product designers and other buyers of custom manufacturing services free-of-charge.

According to Conrad Bailey, spokesperson for MFGmatch.net, the site is designed to help primarily U.S.-based machine shops market their services and capabilities online while enabling those in the market for custom manufacturing services to submit  RFQ's (request for quotes) directly to national and international manufacturers. The focus of the site is on machined parts, precision components and other custom products constructed in various metals, plastics, rubber, wood and other materials.
