Ivy Tech's program will allow hands-on training

Ivy Tech Community College's downtown Indianapolis campus has started an advanced manufacturing program that will train students in such subjects as robotics and industrial engineering.

The facility will accommodate up to 200 students at full capacity. Students in advanced manufacturing will learn abou robotics, industrial electronics, industrial computer networking and power control systems. The facility will have more than $350,000 in new equipment spread out in three work areas totaling 3,600 square feet of space.
