SKF expands capabilities and releases free engineering CD

SKF Precision Technologies, a unit of SKF USA Inc., has expanded its capabilities. The Grafton, Wisc.-based company recently announced the availability of its new engineering services and contract manufacturing capabilities. Custom-engineered components and assemblies from SKF utilize precision rotary and/or linear motion to achieve improved automation, less waste, lower energy costs, more flexible lines and reduced fixed costs. In addition to designing customer-centric solutions, SKF offers complete manufacturing, assembly and testing. From one or two components to series production of a family of assemblies, SKF Precision Technologies’ precision grinding, boring, milling and turning machines will produce the required quantity in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

The company has also recently released its engineering handbook on CD. The CD includes CAD drawings, specification catalogs and other application information on SKF Precision Technologies’ full line of slides, spindles, multi-axis modules, ball and roller screws, and linear rails and shafting. The CD also provides information on other SKF custom products such as spindle lubrication and bearings, and SKF service and repair programs.
