New drone unveiled that can carry humans

Kids of all ages remember the opening sequence of "The Jetsons" where George flies his personal spaceship to work. Well, this dream of solo flight might soon become a reality, thanks to the introduction of a new drone that can transport humans.

The Ehang 184, which created quite a ruckus at CES, introduces people to the idea of drones as private transportation. The device has eight propellers and is fully battery powered.

Does it sound too good to be true? Well, it might be. The drone is designed to only fly about 1,000 to 1,650 feet off the ground. Also, flying such a contraption would require tons of regulations, not to mention FAA requirements. And, with a price tag of $200,000 to $300,000, it's unlikely that the Ehang 184 will be replacing cars any time soon.
