This weekly Q&A will feature some of your favorite products uncensored and without their packaging.

Welcome to Interview With a Product. This weekly Q&A will feature some of your favorite products uncensored and without their packaging. Today, our interviewee is the CI Series rotary valve from ACS Valves. Thanks for joining us.

ACS Valves CI Series rotary valve: Howdy.

Plant Services: So what exactly do you do?

A: I help extend bearing life and maintenance cycles due to my outboard bearing design. My bearing design manages applications with pressure differentials up to 15 PSIG.

PS: What sets you apart from the competition?

A: My outboard design also protects the bearings in high temperature applications to 750 ºF, and removes bearings from the path of damaging and contaminating materials.

PS: Interesting. Tell us more about yourself.

A: My 8-vane rotor design is built to improve process energy efficiency by minimizing pressure loss throughout the system. My simultaneous 2-vane inlet seal and 2-vane outlet seal maintains accurate pressure differentials.

PS: Why should someone buy you?

A: I am designed to provide processing operations continuous performance, reduced maintenance, and energy efficiency.

PS: Tell us more about ACS Valves.

A: ACS Valves designs, engineers, and manufactures rotary valves for metering, feeding, and airlock in bulk material processing and pneumatic conveying applications.

PS: And now it's time for a fun question. What is your favorite muscle in the human body?

A: The heart valve.
