Grainger offers hurricane preparedness guide

July 10, 2008

Grainger has created a 12-page Hurricane Preparedness Guide and launched a dedicated Web site at www.grainger.com/hurricane to help businesses and institutions prepare in advance for a hurricane. By preparing for emergencies and disasters, businesses can help ensure they have the right product at the right time, which will help mitigate business risks and costs of injury, downtime and legal claims.

Researchers are predicting an above-average hurricane season for 2008, increasing the importance of hurricane preparedness. This year is forecasted to see 13 named storms, seven hurricanes, three intense hurricanes, and a 60% chance of a major hurricane making landfall on the U.S. Coastline.

The 2008 Hurricane Preparedness Guide has checklists, product solutions and guidelines for taking action ahead of time to minimize damage. To request a free copy of the guide (available in electronic PDF format or print copy) contact Al Johnson at [email protected] or (847) 535-0584.
