Use a service contract to overhaul maintenance practices
Under a pay-for-performance contract, the service provider implemented best practices, efficient systems, and skilled manpower to improve reliability and mitigate high-risk losses at an electrical components factory.
In the first six months of 2006, MTBF grew more than 100% from Q1 to Q2, the customer satisfaction index “Excellent” increased by 20% from 2005 to 2006, the preventive/corrective ratio average increased by 17% year over year, and there were no accidents in the service organization.
