Motor monitor identifies faulty CT
After weeks of attempting to synchronize a generator, a large city in Canada enlisted help from outside sources. When conflicting diagnosis results were obtained, they had dynamic motor analysis performed to analyze the generator. It was determined that faulty CT’s were causing the issue. After replacement of the faulty CT’s, the generator re-synchronized and is working properly. Using this method of motor analysis offered a great deal of savings to the city.
