The Cognex DataMan 500 fixed-mount barcode reader reads codes presented in any orientation, multiple codes within the same image and 2-D codes

The Cognex DataMan 500 fixed-mount barcode reader is designed to offer consistent reading of 1-D barcodes that lasers cannot read, including damaged, distorted, blurred, scratched, low height and low contrast codes. It also reads codes presented in any orientation, multiple codes within the same imag, and 2-D codes such as Data Matrix and QR codes.

The DataMan 500 is powered by a proprietary vision chip technology, Cognex VSoC (Vision System on a Chip). Lighting, camera, processor, and communications are integrated into an industrial housing. Trigger-free reading and high frame rates eliminate the need for an external trigger.
