Honeywell says its Impact Pro portable gas detector has been enhanced with a confined space entry kit and rugged carrying case, and it now measures up to four gases simultaneously. The enhancements bring high-impact, watertight protection in the harshest industrial environments. As an added measure, the carrying case includes a lifetime warranty against breakage by Pelican Products. The confined space entry kit includes the Impact Pro multi-gas detector, Enforcer bump test/calibration kit and a range of accessories including charging cradle, datalogging cable, batteries, flow adapter and additional compartments for power supplies, cables and adapters. Notable features of the carrying case include virtually indestructible polycarbonate casing, O-ring seal to protect against dust/water ingress, stainless steel hinge pins to prevent rust formation in wet conditions, custom foam to protect against impact and an automatic pressure relief valve to equalize pressure inside the case with outside pressure. The Impact Pro monitors up to 4 gases simultaneously and includes a unique, four-in-one sensor cartridge design, high-power internal pump and IP67 rated housing. Options include advanced infrared sensors, Safelink confined-space instrument-to-instrument communication, unpowered low-flow-rate Enforcer gas calibration/bump test station and rechargeable batteries. Calibration with the Enforcer can be carried out within two minutes and requires minimal training, allowing crews to easily comply with safety regulations without the need for costly test facilities or third parties.
